Went for my physio this morning, he was really pleased with what I'm doing and said I'm progressing very well. He has given me 3 more excersises to do standing up and swinging my legs and sqatting. He has also taken one crutch off me and told me to try and walk round the house just holding on to the furniture. Told me the amount of walking I am doind is really good and to try and keep extending it as I am doing. See him again in 2 weeks time.

How many weeks post op are you? How far are you walking? Sorry for the questions but I have no post surgery physio so this will give me a gauge!

Great news. How many weeks are you. I am 3 and still have problems with knee and ankle. Never had it with my right hip last year but have with left hip

I am 3 weeks post op today had my op on 21st May. I am going to attempt 0.25 of a mile today on one crutch. I like to extend my distance every other day. I have done this by adding another garden on.

Hey don't hold your breath neither have I Thought I was going to cry when he took one of my crutches off me lol, but he said my posture was brilliant and I was walking brilliant. Just been for a little walk but didn't go as far as I normally do, feel a bit pulled about after a long day yesterday and again today. So slowlyt slowly is my way. xx

Funny you should say that Renee, cos last night I felt I had taken a step back too, cos I couldn't do the excersises, but then thinking about it, I couldn't do the last lot at first either. xx Day by day is the key. ((hug))xx
Well done Gill - you are doing great. Squatting sounds fun - good for strength and muscle stretching. I am on the one stick now and found myself walking around the house on a couple of occasion without any sticks - oops.
