The only sure way of knowing if this is herpes is to get swabbed for it when the lesions next appear. It’s a tall order, with lockdown etc.
Clinically, herpes is a recurrent condition and often reappears in the same area. So it’s worth monitoring the location that you notice your spots reappearing and see if further recurrences involve the same area or thereabouts. Take a few photos (not too close-up) as a reference and share this with your doctor when you get to see them.
It seems like the timing of the bumps coincide with you shaving. Is this correct? So maybe there’s a more innocent explanation, such as folliculitis.
