Brief history, chronic itchiness not cured by OTC thrush treatment. Never any discharge. In September had a pinching feeling on side of vaginal wall during sex. Saw dr that month for itching, was told there was a lesion where I felt the pinching, she thinks I have Lichen Sclerosis. Swabbed the lump, negative for any STDs. Gave me steroid cream. (yes cream, I later learnt it should be ointment) Have had the same partner for 10 years. Saw dr yesterday as I was really itchy again and lump seems larger and more angry. She said it was ulcerated, got into a derm today , she said wasn't ulcerated, but the gland opening is prominent and she believes its a blocked duct. Got a referral from her to Gyno as I also have a prolapse and the gyno will deal with the duct too. She said I also have Chronic Candida Hypersensitivity which is causing the itching and said I will need to take an anti fungal until menopause (I'm 28) ..
The derm thinks its a blocked duct as the growth is next to the opening. But it really looks nothing like a blocked duct, its not under the skin like a blocked duct cyst is, its a growth off my skin like a wart and now Ive had 2 different diagnoses for my itchiness. I have fleshy growths around the duct opening on the other side too, and more flesh pieces that I think are hymenal tags. but these others do not hurt. I have only had sex about 4 times in the last year, and not for months now. The growths around the ducts have not always been there.
I'm hoping the gyno might have more of an idea. I was really hoping for a biopsy with the derm. Any suggestions? Ther derm did note that its very dry in that area and that I have fissures on my perineum. I'll attach a photo of the lesion in question. I have also posted this over on the Bartholins Board.
I have been in a monogamous relationship for 10 years now and they always automatically check for stds when I present and have always been negative.
Ive included a few photos. 1&2 close upof the fleshy growth. 3. The whole external area. 4. The inner labia 6.Another angle of the lump/ My prolapse was visible and looks awful so I scribbled it out to keep focus on the lump. 7.Another angle of the lump showing the protrusion.
Even if it is nothing, I dont like it, and it hurts so I would love them to remove it. Ive been told a few things now so I wish they would just biopsy it and let me know for sure.
