Hi everyone! I just cane put of the hospital after being there for a week and was diagnosed with PID. i had many doctors around the clock who all gave me many diagnoses. One being a hemerrogic ovarian cyst, another being a ovarian abcess and the final DR that discharged me said PID. She mention nothing about ovarian cysts so I was a little confused. Ultimately she said PID is caused by chlamydia or gonnorhea. Her own words were "interestingly you tested negative for both but this is what were diagnosing you with". Now I get frequently tested for STDs and have never been diagnosed with any. I do have a frequent history of bladder infections and have had BV. I guess my question is was PID the correct diagnoses? She was very adamant that it was an STD, even though I tested negative. I'm going to schedule an appointment with OB but I just wanted some advice while I wait for that. Any feedback is appreciated.
