so worried. was having a shower and felt a lump near my anus. can anyone tell me what this is?

yes that looks like an external haemorrhoid. a little cream or alternating some hot and cold compresses may help reduce it just try to avoid it rubbing too much on clothing as this can cause them to get irritated and become larger

thankyou for responding.. its still there today. should i be worried if it doesnt go after a couple of days?

Hi Sofia, Yes, it is a haemorrhoid!! The swelling may go down and it will go away or it may leave a tiny piece of skin there…usually happens with straining or constipation, if THAT is the cause, try more fiber in your diet and keep hydrated, water is the best, keep it clean & you can try Anusol (or another type)topical cream to shrink it and some have topical anaesthetic if it hurts, heat can help it too…sitting too long can be a problem, using a cushion can help if it hurts…no worries, its pretty common…BEST WISHES​:wedding::musical_notes::paw_prints::rainbow::four_leaf_clover::peace_symbol::infinity:

external hemroids dont go away quickly. you need to not straining while on the toliet.
use hemroid creams, keep the area clean
