I have pillonidal sinus from last 2 years ..sometimes it gets infected after 3 months and my left inguinal lymph nodes got swelled...if any one got this who have pillonidal sinus...plz help will b appreciated..
Joshua, see a specialist in this area. Do not go to a general surgeon.
Here are a few observations:
- Antibiotics can help but not cure. They can clear up a flare up but they do not effect the underlying condition
- The sooner you get this treated the better. Antibiotics or not, Pilonidals get worse.
- If you address they early the procedure is not that bad and done in the office. Make sure you have someone around to help you for a few days after. The location is hard to reach.
- Take great care to keep area clean.
There are different surgical treatment methods. It depends on how bad your pilonidal is. But I can say from experience; act quickly and aggressively. Go to a specialist!
Jane thanks for replying..my left inguinal lymph node got swelled...have u experienced this lymph node swelling when u were having pillonidal sinus...plz reply fast as soon as possible..now my pillonidal sinus is not infected ..but my left inguinal lymph nodes got swelled.....
Well Josh I've had a similar problem the last 4 years or so it's now at the stage where I've to get my fourth operation. In my opinion surgery is the best way to keep it away. I have an operation on the 11th of next month. Kinda anyoing taking time off work but it's best in the long term
