Pillow between legs

hi I had right hip replaced 12 months ago and left 9 weeks ago will I always have to sleep with a pillow between my legs?

One more thing my left hip which was replaced 12 months ago feels like it's just been done and the most recent one feels like it's well healed should I be worried..

Yes, I would consult your surgeon.  Something else near your hip is probably the problem.

I hope you heal quickly.

Hi Jean,

No, I don't think you will have to sleep with pillow between your legs forever wink -

I already slept with body pillow before any surgeries because it was less stressful for my back - To be on the safe side, ask your surgeon or PT ...

As for the old new hip ... I have the same experience - even though your 1st surgery has been 12 months, it still is healing - perhaps it had to take on more while healing because of your other hip being bad --- so it is all starting over really - your whole body has to adjust to the new hardware -

Do your exercises for both legs equally - Your body is still going in to default by putting more pressure on old new hip ...

not only your leg(s) but other parts of your body will make their presence known -

I am assuming you had your follow up appointment ?

You are doing great --- just a bit more patience is required ...(sigh)

let us know how you are getting on otherwise okay

big warm hug
