i have had a TRHR 3 years ago that is very successful and now need a TLHR but i have severe pins and need,es in my left leg accompanied by severe pain which gets worse as the day goes on .
i am having an MRi on friday to hopefully rule out a back problem before my surgeon will put me on his list .
has anyone else experienced this ?
i am praying that it is linked to my hip and not my back .

Hi I’m really pleased that your first HR went so well and I’m sure this next one will be just as much a success.
I don’t think anyone can actually give you a 100% reply that will tell you what is causing your leg problem’s, it could be your sciatic nerve being pinched it could also be from your back or your hip, it could at an extreme level be a neurological disorder, you want know till you have the MRI done and hopefully it will turn out to be something that doesn’t hinder your op.

Throughout my Pain Journey of about 2 years, I will finallly be getting THR both left and right. Yes, nerve pain is completely to be expected, mine had always been more like “ice picks” stabbing up and down both thighs, even with no movement on my part, like during sleep. One doctor explained that because of all the inflamation associated with the bone on bone arthritis, the entire thigh muscle ends up being inflamed to some degree which causes nerves throughout the muscle to be irritated.
