I have just revived my letter giving me my date 6th April to meet for an consultation to decide if I am elagable to claim PIp and what amount I will be awarded. I've read that quite often people are refused any entitlement to claim can any one who has gone through this stage of proceedings tell me what to expect ? I'm really concerned that I will be turned down I'm increasingly struggling to work now and have already reduced my hours down to a 3 day week but my symptoms seem to be getting much worse especially my knees and ankles I work with children with severe learning difficulties which is a challenging job needing lots of physical support that I am now struggling with and find myself worrying about losing my job anyone have any advise with work and getting support to keep you in work
I went through the tribunal stage last month and it was a difficult day I'm not going to lie to you, my doctor had to give me Valium just to keep calm. If it's the first stage and you are just going to see if you are eligible then just go and tell the truth, try and get a welfare officer to help you, if you go into the local housing association they can arrange that for you. They will give you advise on what to say and your entitlement, and remember your only telling the truth. It's not as bad as you think, lease don't worry and good luck
I was turned down after my PIP assessment and my appeal was also turned down. My local CAB pointed me in the right direction and helped me with the paperwork. I am still new to it all, and still waiting on decisions. DAG can be helpful, too. I will try and let you know what happens with my side of it next
Hi Tina I have also got my pip consultation on the 30 of march am really worried about it myself my sister was recently turned dwn for hers she said the person asking the questions worded them differently an she didn't understand an got flustered. I think as I have seen on here all you can do is just be honest an tell them truth I have also seen ppl say you should always go by your bad days. An if you can get support by your local cab or a welfare officer I would consider it. Hugs kirsty x
The people asking the questions are right so and so, they are from a different background from me anyway, I had my local welfare officer with me and she coached me, it's all about telling the truth but don't try to be like them, speak your own way, because that's you telling the truth

Hi Tricia, did you win your tribunal? I had to go to tribunal for esa which was horrible but I won.
Yes I did win my tribunal, however it was one of the worst experiences I had to go through. The panel just kept firing questions at me, even though I had nothing to hide, they made me feel vulnerable, I glad you won yours x
