Hi, can anyone help ?  as of the 17/03/2014 i was awarded Personal Independant Payment up to 18/05/17 , but for some reason i have today 05/07/2016 recieved a letter to say that on the 15/07/2016 i have got to present myself for an ATOS re assessment ? i cannot understand why as my condition is never going to get any better as i have Athritis, bad heart, high blood pressure, high colestoral , deformed finger to name just a  few of my problems. I don't understand why my assessment that should have been (and was) for 3 years has now been cut to two years ?   I have been trying to contact ATOS to find out why but cannot get through to them .

Hi,this is quite normal. They tend to send early reassessments (by a year) so that your award should be ongoing..in other words by the time it would be due for renewal your benefit could potentially stop until your claim is decided ..so they do the reassessment early to avoid delays in payments if your still entitled.
