Anyone suffering with this? Finding it very painful to walk
It certainly is and you have my sympathy, there are several causes and many treatments that help but take time. Cushioning the heel with gel heelpads and doing stretching exercises seamed to cure mine because it was due to tight calf muscles after retiring but if due to injury the stretching should be avoided and just the cushioning and rest used for at least a month, just walk with no running or jumping. I have to continue with the stretching exercises as I can feel the calf muscles tightening every morning so have to lift the toes as I sit at my desk or watching tv, rolling the foot on can's or a ball helps and standing on the rung of a ladder and rolling the sole on it seems to help as well. I wear trainers with gel heel pads most of the time and I have PF insoles in my ski boots which makes them far more comfortable to ski in. When walking the dog I wear walking boots with gel heelpads and I avoid sandal's and flip flops as they are difficult to fit insoles or any other cushioning in. Hope this helps and remember surgery is a last option but may be required if its an injury or growth of some kind like heel spurs.
My fiance had Plantar Faciitis really bad and could barely walk!!!! Have you taken a look at this? If you email them, they will connect you to a professional in your area or send you a sample (which is the actual product) www.fasciacure.ca ... his plantar faciitis pain was gone in one week.
