I'm just over 1 week since my surgery to fix my ankle fractures. The 1st cast I had on ( while in surgery) was quite comfortable but after a week it got quite loose to the point I could fit all four fingers down it. I went back to ED and had it replaced but the new backslab cast (done on the weekend by nurses) had a sharp fold poking in right by the wound so Monday morning I went back again and now have my 3rd cast. This cast feels like my foot is too flexed forward but I don't want to look like a complainer and go back again! Just wondering if this is an issue for healing? I have an orthopaedic appt in 6 days so will probably be changed then anyway. Will it be ok to wait til then?

keep getting it adjusted. Be a pain to help u feel comfortable. My doc put my foot at a 90 degree angle in boot but many weeks after scars healed. I had tar. Good that u have a Dr. Apt soon to address your concern or give a quick call.

yh my backslab cast was super heavy and it kept coming loose, if its causing you enough pain then go and get it changed but if your appt is in 6 days then it will be time for a proper cast.
