my doc says I need a special blood test that has to be taken at 9am has anyone else had this test if so what is it

Have you been told to refrain from eating after a certain time the night before and not to eat in the morning?It may be that you need a "fasting" blood test to get a baseline of results without any glucose e.g interfering

no i have not been ask to fast just that is as to be at 9am, just sounds weird to me

I'm speculating but it could be for cortisol. This usually peaks in the morning when you wake if you're a nocturnal human being
