Please help do i have tongue cancer?

So for the past 3 months I've gone threw some really stressful things which has lead to really bad dry mouth and many mouth problems some of which im still experiencing today. I've had what i thought that oral thrush, hairy tongue but have never had it diagnosed so maybe (i hope so) im wrong. I've had a dry throat ever since the dry mouth started, no pain just dry ive had a mouth sore that went away in two days and angular chilitis also went away in two days. My mouth is always in pain my tongue hurts all the time and like two weeks ago i started to notice two lumps at the bavk of my throat. On the sides of my tongue towards the base are red bumps that hurt on boths sides and i feel my tongue is swelling also it hurts under my tongue towards the back. My question is could all this be related to the major anxiety and stress that i was under and still am ? I forgot to mention that I've been put on anxiety and antidepressants can that also affect the mouth? Could it be cancer? Or herpes?

Forgot to mention that my ears have been hurting too

Hi Liz. I'd be more inclined to concentrate on the antidepressants rather than the more exotic things like cancer or herpes! Almost all antidepressants have dry mouth among their side-effects.

Another possibility is an auto-immune condition called Sjogren's syndrome, which can cause dry eyes and mouth among a multitude of other symptoms. I've suffered from this for more than 20 years, and dry mouth, with bleeding from cracks at the corners, was one of the first symptoms I suffered from. Sjogren's isn't dangerous, by the way. It's a chronic condition that can be managed but not cured, and just tends to make life a bit miserable for the sufferer. There's a whole forum for it on this site.

However, if you're on antidepressants I think that's the best place to start looking for the cause of your dry, sore mouth. I'm wondering what your doctor and/or dentist said about it too. You should be asking them about it.

Thanks lily for your reply I've seem a few doctors now and all of them give me the same answer (that it's nothing) so after bugging them i finally have an app with an ENT this Tuesday hopefully he can give me answers i dont have dry eyes just dry mouth though it's getting better compared to how it use to be. What worries me now is the tongue pain and throat pain and all these other symptoms that started showing up after the dry mouth ((
