Hi everyone I hope you are well, I’m a 21 year old male from the UK suffering with anxiety. I used to have health anxiety really bad when I was about 14/15 in which I would find the tiniest of problems with my body even a small cut and convince myself it was some life threatening illness. However that just slowly went away on its own as I grew older. Around 3 years ago when I started a new job I become ill with nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, dizzyness, tingling sensations and a whole host of other symptoms, these symptoms are still with me and are 24/7 but heighten in social situations. I used to be really outgoing but now I am completely different, when I leave the house I am a different person. I can’t go out for meals or for drinks with friends as I am unable to swallow anything due to thinking if I swallow I am going to be sick! In social situations I become extremely nervous and feel faint so that I have to leave as I just can’t deal with it. I’m starting to think the 24/7 symptoms are an underlying problem stemming from my anxiety. I have had every test under the sun from endoscopy to colonoscopy and everything in between but everything has come back normal. I just don’t know what to do anymore I am so close to giving up I just need help has anyone got any ideas at all please? Thankyou
Im sorry you go through the torture of anxiety .. Dont give up Tom , instead get 300 mg og magnesium ,take it daily . Magnesium is great for calming anxiety , but it does take time . Dont give up , keep on forward !
Tom is there anyway you can get some counseling? This is very difficult to go through on your own. And it really helps to vent to somebody who can help you.
And yes, it sounds like all your symptoms are due to anxiety. anxiety and stress can cause hundreds of different symptoms.
i used to get terrible colitis and gastritis from anxiety and stress.. Plus a lot of weird symptoms. I still get those sometimes. I’m so sorry you’re going through this but you definitely need some support now. In the meantime you can relax by listening to some great meditations on YouTube for anxiety. There are hundreds of them and I usually fall asleep before they are over because they are so relaxing.
take One day at a time.
but please get some help for this! ![]()
