It's been almost 5 weeks since I was tested for a culture test. I was positive for hsv 1 and was given acyclovir. It has gotten better no pain no anything. But for some reason there are still some red bumps. No pain no anything. Could it be something else? Or could it be just an aftermath of my first outbreak?
If they don't feel sore, then they're probably unrelated or an irritation, etc.
Did your dr prescribe you any cream like zofirax? I was recently diagnosed and got the cream as well as out on 800mg of acyclovir 5 times a day for my initial ob. The cream got rid of the few bumps I had pretty fast. U should ask your dr for some. Also try to eat healthier and change your diet. Could def. Help get rid of the symptoms faster. BOL sweetie

Okay, well it was very itchy two days ago and now it's starting to hurt when wearing pants. Is there a chance this could be my second outbreak?

Possible, but I would have thought unlikely, especially since you have gHSV1 and only just had your first outbreak. Observe the bumps, don't scratch or poke them, and see what happens. If they just fade away, like an irritated bump, then it's not likely related. If they become open sores, then it's likely herpes. Hard to say really!
