Hi there,
I've just joined the forum after reading some of the comments on other questions.
I've been taking 50mg Setraline for 8 weeks now .... I was extremely jittery and trembling the first 3 weeks, which is much better now but I'm still experiencing bad dizziness right throughout the day. It's really bad and I feel like an alkoholic but without the alkohol. I also battle to fall asleep at night, and use to take halve a sleeping tablet which I'm also now trying to cut out.
I will really appreciate any advise or comments.
Have a great weekend everyone.
Undoubtedly Setraline has something to say here. But if you think about different cause, your state isn't something we can deal with through forum. Tests are required, unless your doctor claims that it is Setraline's fault.
Hi Wilma..maybe you should go back to the doc regarding the dizziness.. I don't know if your dose needs to be changed. For example start on 25mg for a while and then go up to 50mg? And maybe the combination of coming off sleeping tablet at same time might not be helping..but I'm not a professional..that's just my humble opionion!! I definitely think u should mention it to gp as you can't continue being dizzy all day every day..might just need your meds 'tweaked'. Best wishes and let us know how you get on.
50mg was a little too low. I increased to 100mg and I started to feel a lot better. But I was still having troubles feeling my normal self. After my doctor moved me up to 150mg, I feel normal. I don't even feel like I am on any sort of drug. All my side affects went away after about 3 months, except some very vivid dreams which stopped occurring after about 6 months.
Good luck!
