I know blood pressure varies thru the day and depending on what you're doing but Im still wondering something....
I was walking and I checked my blood pressure at a local store and it was 156/100 and my heart rate was 106. I checked it another time and my heart rate was 90 and my blood pressure was 149/110 and I checked it once more and it was 140/89 and heart rate was in the 80's. I left after that but I'm afraid it's signaling a heart attack or stroke.
I've been feeling dizzy with jaw pain and some chest pain. Is it anxiety or something else causing the symptoms?
Sounds like anxiety, but i'm not a doctor. So I can be wrong.
I have many of the same symptoms and have had many cardiac tests done that have all come back basically normal.. I would like to say those are symtpoms of anxiety but of course they can also be signs of a heart attack... I have trouble determining whether I should run to the hospital or go lay down in a calm room.. it really is always better to err on the side of caution.. so if you continue to worry about it contact your doctor or go to immediate care..
The problem is, I've been to the hospital so many times on the past 6 months, have gotten test done and all comes back normal. So I don't think this er visit will be any different than the other. Especially since I just went to the cardiologist on Wednesday, got an ekg and it came back normal. I'm so confused as to what to do.
This is exactly what I go through daily.. I've been to the ER 3 times in the past 2 months, one time they kept me because my pulse was high but sent me home the next day.. I feel so stupid walking into the ER with the same cardiac complaints.. all my tests have comeback mostly normal, had a echo that showed a slightly enlarged atrium but my cardiologist thanks I have sleep apnea and that's the cause.. I had a stress test, normal and a cornary calcium scan (thay I had to pay for out of pocket) and that came back normal as well.. the likelihood that my symptoms are a heart attack are very low but I can't get that through my head.. are you taking anything for anxiety?
Blood pressure can spike depending on your stress level and time of day. Always good to get an exam at some point. If you have had an exam learn how to breathe properly. Belly breathing. Google it. It lowers bp fast. I have had very similiar issues of high reading then eventually they lower. I spent a couple of weeks with a cardio doc running tests over bp reading. I think the cardio said need higher reading and steady 140/90 is considered fine with the new regulations. You eill feel dizzy be ause you are brething too fast and shallow and things will hurt. You can always go to the dr. And they can check this.
