Oh I know how you feel is there anyway I can communicate with you ?

Oh I am not trying to be cruel at all I try to hide it .  I have had 16 surgeries and radiation in last 10 years so it's kinda hard .  But thank you

Uau!

I am sad to hear you have been through a lot to !!  I hope all is going ok for you now and that you get better !  I know you will have lots of years left cause your approach and calmness is awesome.  I have tremendous fear as you said it absolutely makes things 10 times worse for me !!  I just want to be normal or the best normal I can be, I want to enjoy life not fear that every moment could be me last and I have allowed my mind to think like this and I am trying desperately to fix it .  I reached out to this blog hoping I could talk to someone who might understand what I am experiencing as I have no friends I have isolated myself so let me say this to you thank you very much for your time to reply to me !!  Thank you very much

Wanted to follow up had echo and halter monitor test as well and cardiologist says I have Cardiac Awareness as well as palpitations and that I have to learn to live with them .  Also being menopausal is another factor that could be a contributing factor !  During the echo I constantly had the palpitations my face started burning etc thought I was going to die cried pretty much the entire day !  Tired of constantly being in fear I just want my life back !!

I know what you're going through why did the cardiologist not give you a beta blocker to help?

Hi, deep breath, read my post and trust me when I say I have exactly the same, I have had every test going, been to A&E on several occasions, called 999 twice due to racing heart, sweats, dizziness and pain in chest, seen a cardiologist twice and nothing, I mean nothing shows up ever.  When I mentioned to cardio about it mainly happening after meals when I am resting, he said "vagul nerve, google it, there is a strong connection between food and heart, the heart has to work harder after food and some people are more aware of their heart than others".  You mention it happens after eating and taking meds, which you presumably take with water/food. Mine are there immediately after every meal, when I drink, especially coffee.  I used to sit after my main meal in constant fear of dying, I used to feel dizzy, sweat, my hands and mouth would tingle all being caused by anxiety. My heart would race and the pain was incredible, I would run around clutching my chest saying I was going to die, I would sometimes then burp and immediately felt better.  I would feel it in my ears and when I tried to lie down after a heavy meal the pain was incredible. I then decided that as my family were beginning to feel I was nuts, my 19 year old son has started to become health anxious due to me behaving this way in front of him, so beware of your son in case it affects him, I felt that maybe it was food related, I started to eat smaller meals and when it happened took a deep breath and thought about other things and believe me it worked, during the past few months I have hardly noticed, if they start, I get up walk around and do something to take my mind off them. They are still there but I say to myself it is not my heart, I know all this is easier said than done.  Palpitations are a well known symptom of the menopause as are many, many, many, other things, I am 59 this year and well through it thank god.   I did have beta blockers but as mine are related to food they did not work.

Hi just read one of your posts about palpitations and face burning.  MENOPAUSE 100%, I would feel my face get hot then the palpitations. Face cooled down, palps went.  Menopause is absolutely hell for some of us.  I am still having hot face/palps at 58 and started at 47, GP said some people have sweats for many years, some well into their 80's.  Looks like that's my fate LOL.  Take care
