hey guys, i feel very ill. Im sure something is wrong. I have palpitations, my left shoulderblade hurts TERRIBLE when i move, i also feel pressure on my chest when i move a certain way, i have intense fluttering in my throat.. and recently I always feel like i gotta cough.. But this all happens (except for the back and chest pain) only at night.. I have these feelings for months but it got way more intense nowadays. I couldnt sleep last night, i just cried out of misery, lol.. Im sad tho, i really am, my quality of life sucks. Today i felt like im going to faint in subway, i started to sweat a lot.. I dont know what is going on, I am so so so so so so so scared im going to get a heart failure. (im freshly 19). Everything also gets worse when my period comes, could that be hormones? SHOULD I WORRY IM GONNA DIE lol? how likely is that.. I have doctors appointment in 20 days.. but till then im afraid i wont make it

Hey Adriana I know exactly how you feel I was exactly the same as you last night it was awful and when I get like this on my period it’s because my iron levels drop so maybe you have low iron like I do if I don’t take my tablets when I’m on my period I end up getting palpitations really mad migraines I feel so weak to the point I get scared to stand up my heart beats really fast I feel off balance but I also suffer from health anxiety and GAD and it’s the worst thing in the world I’m im constantly thinking that I’m dying or I have a serious health problem

Aww hunny try and calm down sounds to me like your having really bad anxiety symptoms.

I know it's so hard not to worry and to think the worst but it all sounds like anxiety to me.

Try some relaxation techniques.

Make sure you tell your doctor how your feeling maybe he can give you some medication to calm you down a little bit.take care and good luck. And please try stop worrying I been the same since I was 19 I'm now 31 and still the same but really makes me think I have wasted 12 years been this way. Xx

I am also the same as you it's awful to live this way. Hope your alright x

Hi Adriana,

I have had everything you are experiencing and more. I think you should go to the emergency room at least to get checked out. But the fainting feeling, sweating, palpitations, chest pain are all anxiety and panic attack symptoms of you dont have anything else wrong with you. You should also get your thyroid checked as that can cause some of your symptoms as well.

You are not going to die. But if you are having chest pain you need to go to the emergency room and get checked.

Hey sweetheart, you will be fine. I'm sorry you're going through a tough time. No wonder you're feeling scared what with all the weird symptoms and feelings you're experiencing. As a woman and from personal experience, you can totally feel worse before or during your period. Due to the fact that your hormones are fluctuating and are all over the place! and hormones affect your mood. All the symptoms you describe are familiar symptoms of anxiety. I know it feels as though it's something more serious and that's understandable as it's so unpleasant. Because of that you panic more which makes your anxiety worse. You said that your "life sucks", this could well be a contributory factor to how your feeling right now. Make an appointment to see the doctor sweetheart. Hope you feel better soon. Look after yourself and please stay in touch. PS you are Not going to die.! You can be happy again. Donna xxx

Hey Kayleigh, thank you so much for your reply

That sounds terrible, im glad you found tablets that help your issues tho just a little bit. Did you gynecologist check your hormone levels? Were they okay?

love, Adriana

i think it is very unlikely you are going to just die. im not sure if female hormones bring on anxiety( im a guy so a bit stuck on that one). when you get palpitations have you tried the breathing exercise.

fill your lungs with air through your nose, hold for 5 seconds and blow out through your lips. repeat the process as many times as you like. it works to slow the heart down and stabilise blood pressure as your getting more oxygen instead of carbon monoxide. when i first ever posted on here a wonderful lady said some very kind words to me and said i should read the book called mindfulness. i have found it very helpful and would recomend it to you.
