'm 20 years old and first had the feeling of vertigo at 18. I am so afraid because even though I have been dignosed with vertigo by a doctor I still feel they aren't sure. I'm so terrified I need to know if anyone else has these feelings and symptoms or is there something else wrong with me.
Dizzy/Light-headed feeling 24/7 but gets better when I lay on my right side
fuzzy feeling in the back of head
feeling like my eyes won't focus or are zooming in and out
worse after I eat
headache/tight head feeling
detachment feeling like my body is not there or floating
feeling like my muscles collapse
breathing problems and sore chest
nausea
sore upper stomach
feeling like my spine collapses or is floating
disoriented
ringing in ears
loss of feeling in legs and body
feeling like im going to pass out
worse when I sit or stand up
shuffling, swaying and bouncing feeling in body
weird jerks inside head and body
Feeling like my head is getting beat around
I feel so detached from myself when it happens like I don't even know how to think or feel.
I'm sorry for sounding so scared and desperate for answers but this came on so suddenly when I was out at a cafe and it's stayed ever since.
Thank you all
Hello, I have vertigo, but not nearly as severe symtoms. I would go and see a vestibular specialist. It made a huge difference. She or will give you actual exercise to retrain you eyes ears and brain so they work in unison
HI,
I had 24/7 vertigo for 6 months straight with all of the same symptoms but even worse I would say. The only thing that has ever taken away all of the symptoms is clonazepam .5 mg of everyday. after 6 years I still only take a quarter pill at a time. They called it vestibular Migraine and anxiety ,coffee etc. can make it 10 times worse.
they referred to it as illusion of movement due to neurons firing too fast in the brain and those signals being misinterpreted. Had every test in the book and nothing ever showed up.
Thank you for your reply, I will look into that most definitely I just want some relief from this horrible problem π€ͺ. I hope you feel better soon. π
Thank you dear, at 58 it's hard. I was so active and in tremendous shape
Now I look 70. Lol. Stay positive as much as possible
I found when trying to concentrate on more one thing really made me dizzy
So and easy
I'm sorry you have had to go through such a hard time but getting relief and somewhat somewhere comfortable from this is better than nothing, right?.
I will look into that medication and ask my neuro when I do see him. I'm in Australia so I'm not sure if it's called the same thing over here but I thank you for the suggestion and letting me know!. I've had so many tests too and they can't find anything all they say is that it's BBPV with no evidence of anything else. I feel because they don't really understand it they are lazy and don't really care which I somewhat understand but at the same time I hate. I hope you continue to get better and thank you for taking your time out to reply to me. ππ
hope youβre feeling better. have you found anything that helps with your symptoms ?
