Please Help

hello, I just started to be sexually active and I noticed some changes. We do have rough sex and I don't know if its because of this. Please let me know if this is anything serious or if its just a yeast infection.

This is Lichen Sclerosus.
Its a case for a dermatologist.
just watch for changes

It’s not necessarily Lichen Sclerosus, no one can tell based on these two pictures. What ever it is, don’t freak out, and see the doctor when possible, they will guide you. Do you have itching, is sex painful, does it bleed?

sex was a bit painful, and me being worried just made me unaroused. I have a bit of itching but its mostly bc I shaved. and thank you.

did he cum in you? i get yeast infections when my husband cums in me sometimes. it affects the womans ph levels

You’re welcome, and I absolutely understand your worries. You might take a look at Lichen sclerosus - Symptoms and causes - Mayo Clinic to see if you match the descriptions, but only the doctor can make a diagnosis, because there are many conditions that can cause similar symptoms. Might be a good idea to avoid shaving and rough sex for a while, to see if the the itching and the pain persist when it’s not rough and when you’re properly aroused and/or lubricated.

Hi Kimberly,

All I can see is a patch of skin overlying the perineum that’s a little whiter than the surrounding skin.

So the medical terminology for this lighter coloured (rougher?) skin is lichenification. It’s unlikely to be lichen sclerosus because this condition typically starts from the top of the labia (i.e. around the clitoris) and then as it progresses it works its way down. The appearances are not consistent with this diagnosis. Also, it’s INCREDIBLY itchy.

I think the cause of your lichenification could be from localised irritation around the vaginal opening. You’ve already mentioned one cause- rough sex. Another common cause is thrush.

Kindest regards,
Adhari

@adhari83393 yes. That was one of my concerns because I have never seen that. However it does not itch.
