Please Read: Anxiety/IBS

*Hi, I've been living with anxiety/ IBS for the past 7 months and I'm feeling no better. what can people suggest to help? I'm currently on Citalopram 10mg, I started on sertraline 50mg and felt no better, so i stopped taking it... I had a few months when I felt better, walking helped alot, but then it suddenly came back out of the blue... and has hit me really hard. I get so many symptoms and I'm pretty sure its just the anxiety causing my pain and not the Ibs like doctors told me it was. Hear are my symptoms: * shaking mainly arms/hands and feet. *feeling sick to the stomach *throwing up *severe diarrhea *frequent urination *neck pain * stomach cramps * headaches * gurgling stomach When I first went to the doctors in November last year I was given IBS tablets and they didn't help me one bit... Its constantly on my mind - first thing in the morning and the last thing at night, I go to bed in pain and I wake up in agony. Please help? :)

I’ve been dealing with the same thing so i feel your pain. IT’s a viscous cycle. Anxiety causes stomach issues and stomach issues give me anxiety. I’m going to a specialist soon so we shall see what they have to say. I’ve been doing a low fodmap diet which is for ibs sufferers. You can look into that. Also try to make a list of all the things that you stress you out and see if there is anyway to cut some things out. A good walk in nature is a good way to relieve stress. I hope to come back with some more wisdom after i see someone. I’m interested to see what others have to say.

I had this terribly for quite awhile and no meds seemed to help it. The only thing that gave me some relief was to make sure I was drinking PLENTY of water, and eating yogurt with active cultures, Usually eating a couple a day seemed to help get things back to normal somewhat. I hope that you find relief! I do know how you feel.

Your symptoms seem to indicate that it is more than {BS. Get a CT scan and don’t take anything that is not recommended by your doctor.

Hmm, stating to only take stuff recommended by a doctor is fine theoretically, however when the “cure” turns out to be the “cause” that argument falls apart.

We all have our opinions of “medical professionals”, thank you for you sharing yours Lester.

Doctors do not recommend meds that are not regulated because they do nothing.

No idea why my last update was deleted; all I was basically saying is that regulated stuff brings profit; natural stuff cannot be patented hence no profit. And people wonder why what gets prescribed, gets prescribed…

I say this as someone who was nearly destroyed by regulated stuff, and totally healed by natural stuff.
