As you all know I have severe health anxiety with my heart. I was having a good day today. I are a piece of French toast, half an Apple and half a tuna sandwich today. I went to the store and we were rushing around. I was fine and all of a sudden it hit me. I turned my head and turned it back, I immediately got the faint/extremely dizzy/floor felt like it was moving/nausea/ heartburn/ sweating. I am now of course panicking ten times more, as I've never had that before. What is this? Should I go to the emergency room? By the way im 26.
Following this discussion because I'm experiencing a similar thing right now. One minute I'm okay and the next I feel on the verge of passing out/extremely dizzy/extremely sweaty.
I honestly have no answers for you, nor for myself. All I can say is I hope this eases up for you soon x
Because of your health anxiety and the fact you was rushing around is the reason you probably had these symptons of dizzinesss etc. Concerntrate on your breathing, drink some cold water and do something you find relaxing untill the dizziness feeling goes away.. i have some anxiety with my heart too so i know how you feel. I suppose if you are mega stressed you could go to the ER but i think that whole procedure is quite anxious in its self. try relax yourself first and keep posting on here if you need more reassurance. xx
Try to stay calm you don't seem to have
eaten alot today maybe your blood sugar
needs checking???
Thank you. I came home. Calmed myself down. Now I'm just extremely tired. My biggest fear is letting something serious go undetected. Maybe later I might just go to the ER to calm me down. I know they're answer is going to be normal, but still. Its so frustrating because I was trying to get last minute things for my fiances birthday and it just ruined everything.
Is what I ate not enough sugar? I mean if it was my heart I would still be feeling sick right? I should mention in February I had a chest xray, ct, ekg and bloodwork and all was good.
I know. anxiety is such a pain! it creeps up at the most un convienent moments, but we have to deal with it and fight it. i know how exhausting anxiety is.. my boyfriend doesnt uderstand why i dont do much its because my mind is on constant replay and it is exhausting. I hope you feel better soon, you can always go back out later if you feel better. do you have support from your fiance/family?
Vertigo its horryfying and can be from a migrane
Yes luckily. He doesn't understand anxiety very much and I was completely fine before the birth of our son so it's like one day I just changed... He's very understanding though about it
So this definitely isn't life threatening right? I'm telling myself I don't need the hospital, I went from going literally once a week for 2 months to now, I haven't gone since March so I'm proud of myself as silly as that sounds. I don't want to go if I don't really need to. My biggest fear is something happening in the middle of the night. I also just realized I've only drank probably two bottles of water all day and it's 7pm.
So many people get vertigo its just massively terrifying. Migranes, peri menapause and menapause have bouts of it. All they do is give you a strong motion sickness pill. Blood pressure spikes too can do that. Im sure its gone already so not sure why you would go to a hospital. On the water part you must keep hydrated okay. Two water bottles is nothing. When you awaken in the mornings move about slowly. No fast turns of the head or junoming uo from bed. Under flourescent lights can trigger it as well. Hospitals are open all the time so if anything occured in the middle of the night you'd go. At your conviemce you can see an ent and a nuero. Theyll say bbpv or they wont know. But you can go. Hospitals are emergency care better to see specialist if it concerns you
Hi Delaina
Crucially you said "you turned your head, and turned it back"
Our sense of balance is controlled by tiny hairs within a fluid within the ear. When you turn your head quickly you get a mini tidal wave (if that makes sense) and because the message to your brain from your ears does'nt agree with the message your eyes are sending you feel light-headed, off balance and weak, nausious and cold sweats. The good news is this is a common problem, however it's usually nothing to be worried about. It sounds like a physilogicaly induced panic attack. People like us that suffer from Depress/anxiety are more sensitive about what our body functions are doing, we feel any change from the "norm" as something like a heart attack or a stroke. In short, don't turn your head too fast. I know it sounds silly, but it works. Hope this helps a bit
Thank you, it does. My heartrate and everything is back to normal, just extremely tired.. My anxiety is still giving me a bit of issues, giving me a few aches and pains. If I still don't feel good tomorrow I may ask to be prescribed xanax or something for days like this.
Noo not enough sugar, or calories. Ive seriously felt the pain of not eating food properly and it messes your body up. im sure you'll be fine, make some changes to your diet xx
It's anxiety I get it everyday especially when I leave the house dw ur not alone
Oh my gosh I cannot even imagine. Mine has been primarily health anxiety and I've never really had an issue with leaving the house so I hope this was an isolated incident. Still today I'm fighting going to the hospital. My tests were all clear a few months back so I know I shouldn't even waste my time. I wish this issue would just go as quickly as it came! Lol
I get this I had it bad yesterday I was fine then all of a sudden my head spun its horrible really is hope your feeling okay x
Much better thank you!
