I havent had unprotected sex since April. This is the first time I have noticed anything like this. I did just shave but that was to get a better look and picture so it is red from that.! please help me!!! I am scheduling an appointment tmrw but I just want a second opinion!!! Also I have zero symptomsimage

It honestly looks like some type of razor burn. Did you go over the area multiple times? Whenever I shave down there I tend to get rashes because the skin is so sensitive.

while that does looks like folliculitus to me if you felt this sensation prior to shaving it isnt that since folliculitus comes from shaving..when was the last time you shaved before you took this picture? this could also be your first outbreak as the first is always the worst and is hard for a lot of people to tell the difference but if this appeared out the blue i would definitely suspect herpes but you wont know until you get them swabbed

yes I did. Im pretty sure thats why its red. but from all the pictures and stuff ive seen of herpes, nothing looks like this

I didnt feel anything. I just happened to look down and explore it and then i noticed it. I shaved maybe 1-2 weeks before.

It also looks like the redness is coming from each hair follicle. If it was a razor burn (that was healing) and you just shaved that could’ve definitely set things off. I would try putting aquaphor on it, I put some on whenever I get fissures down there- put them on the cuts and make sure to keep it out of the vagina opening! Please update with what the doctor said because I would like to know! Good luck & take care <3

It doesn’t look like a herpes outbreak to me, I’m leaning towards a razor burn.

okay i maybe misunderstood what you were saying when you said you shaved to get a better look i assumed you felt something that caused you to shave but it could be razor burn but i would say get it swabbed just to be sure outbreaks come in many different firms you can never be too safe
