i usually get ingrown hairs when i decide to shave so at first i wasn't stressed about this but when i looked at it more closely by taking pics i started to worry. i don't think its herpes because i know the first outbreak is usually pretty bad. also this is the only bump i have, occasionally itches if what im wearing is a little snug, only slightly sore to the touch (bearable just like a ingrown hair type soreness). i do not have any abnormal discharge either..
Looks like a pimple or ingrown hair nothing to worry about in my perspective. Happens to me when I shave too.

i just want to add that when i saw it look like this, this is what concerned me. but whatever that layer is it comes off when i shower or when i go pee then wont be back for a few hours.
