I have on Estelle Duet for 21days now, started the 'green tablets ' 5 days ago.
I am tired, achy and have backache. I'm assuming this is the PMT everyone talks about.
My question is does this improve the longer you take the HRT, or is it something you have to get used to or will a change of HRT make a difference?
Obviously I am going to give the trial period a good go before making any decision but your advice would be appreciated.
See how it goes but if it's causing you real problems go back as Norethisterone is the progesterone in Elleste which quite a lot of women don't get on with. Femoston has Dydrogesterone instead which apparently is "kinder" as it's closer to a woman's natural progesterone. x
Thanks d.
I just feel like I used to every 20 - 21 days into my cycle before starting the HRT.
Thought it would help with these symptoms.
Can it be progesterone in general that I have a problem with?
I used to get bad PMT when I had periods and when I was on Elleste it was the same feeling. On Femoston I haven't had that feeling so far (fingers crossed!). I've heard from many people that if they are progesterone intolerant then having gel or cream HRT can be better as because it doesn't have to be digested you can have a lower dose. If I start getting PMT feeling on Femoston I'll definitely go back and ask for the gel. I can find out what ones were recommended to me if you like and let you know?
