Poor Result 1st Time Round, Now completely sorted

I started posting in late Jan 14 after I was finding that my new hip was not working well...

It took my surgeon 18 months to agree and send me for second opinions - both of whom diagnosed the problem in 5 minutes.

I had a THR on the other hip in the meantime and then in Sept 16 the Dec 13 hip was revised. I am delighted to say now that my hips are fully recovered.

SO - if there are any hippies out there who think that their hip is wrong then perserve. The part I had was too big and basically that was the problem. Smaller part = success, relief of pain, lopsidedness and misery. Do Not be Told that you will have to  put up with it. Get second opinions, document everything and never give up hope. I had some very dark weeks and it was the ongoing support of this forum that really helped me.

I now have some other unrelated health issues but feel much more able to face them after such a good recovery.

Hugs and best wishes to you all

Chris

Hi Chris,

I'm so happy to hear that you finally got to the bottom of your hip issues.  It's scarey when you think about how easy it is for things to go wrong.  We put all our faith in our surgeons to fix our problems, but at the end of the day they are only human.

Wishing you the very best for the future!

Well done for persevering. I'm really pleased that things are now going better for you.

All the best, Judith

Great news Christine and well done for being so determined.

Cheers Richard
