Positives to help you along!

Hi,
I have been on Citalopram 20mg for 3 weeks for anxiety and things are improving in many ways. I have read countless online reviews from people using it for anxiety, depression, OCD etc and selected and collected as many of the positive comments I could. I read these when I need to stay positive and counteract any worries. I thought people here might benefit!
With love and best wishes

wow you hit all those positives right on the dot.good for you and me as well .bestbregards

well done! good for you that’s really good news. I was the same on citalopram it was amazing but stopped working for me after years on it.
it’s nice to know someone else has made it through!
you are extremely lucky for it to work so fast. congrats x

I haven’t hit ALL of those myself yet but some! I just collected them from loads of different people who had reviewed Citalopram to give myself and anyone else who’s interested a list of positives that others have experienced! I’m hoping to tick off all of them myself one day soon!

I had quite a bad post natal depression about 20 years ago and never believed it possible to recover, BUT I DID, FULLY and remained perfectly well for 20 years. This time I think it’s hormone related again and I feel much more prepared to deal with it and treat it early. The best advice I had years ago was being told “IT WILL GET BETTER”. That advice was 100% true and I wish it for all of you too. xxx

HI Catherine
THIS IS A WONDERFUL LIST ! a d just what we need! May i suggest that you also learn about COGNITIVE BEHAVIOR THERAPY? which helps you to think about situations in a helpful rational manner. These courses are available online quite cheaply.
i am off all meds now but you need this rational way of thinking when you are no longer dependent on citalopram. ANY further information i can Pm you but just saying what has helped me over the twenty years of anxiety suffering! I AM anxiety free at the moment but its a continuous maintenance programme of the mind especially once you are off meds.

##UPDATE: all horrid side effects are now gone. Thinking has returned to normal, calmer and happier than before. So much more focussed. Those positives I listed I can now tick vast majority of them off after 5 weeks on citalopram. IT IS TRUE, be patient and you will come out the other side. Best wishes to all on your journey to wellness. xxx
