I have suffered with tinnitus since September, ears crackle when I swallow/yawn and have had bouts of dizziness. I have a dust mite allergy which I use nasal sprays for (Avamys being one of them). It’s had a massive impact on my social life as the thought of going to loud places makes me cringe, don’t want it to get worse (not great for a 21 year old). Anyone in a similar situation or any advice would be helpful! Thanks😊
Hi Lora 12 .So sad to hear you're joining us at such a young age.Sadly there isn't much advice going about that is much good.Certainly no sympathy either, because there is nothing to see or feel for anyone who doesn't experience it on a daily basis.Loud noises & people who talk over you are not easy to cope with either. To sufferers like us it seems quite a simple thing to treat or cure, but so far the doctors are very much in the dark.
Thank you Anne. I don’t have blocked ears only once in a blue moon. I will mention about the flixonase at my ENT appointment as I’m currently on a long waiting list.
Sorry to hear that you are in a similar situation. It’s had a very negative impact on my life, and there doesn’t seem to be many positive outcomes for many people and doctor’s don’t understand as you stated.
Ah great I will do that. I’ve been told by my GP that I have fluid behind the eardrum but no more information just a referral to see an ENT specialist. Googling syptoms geared me towards ETD although my ears don’t tend to feel blocked often. I’m glad to hear that the medication is helping and that you feel better Anne.
I agree..It's a tough road to travel, but definetly makes us appreciate the food days more.. iv got all the above mentioned.. some days worse..Pray for a cure..
Hello, just reaching out for the first time. I have had a problem with my nose for years. I am under ENT and they say I am allergic to dust mites. I take Mometasone usually but revert to Betamethasone when I have a bad reaction which can be triggered when I go to a different environment for more than four hours, it is also triggered by paracetamol.
The products that I am using do not work and it’s affecting my wellbeing. I’m guessing that I am not the only one with this condition so ideally I am looking for a solution to better manage my condition and a alternative to paracetamol (other than ibuprofen).
