can anybody tell me how can you get your prostate checked other than the GP finger up the back side?? my symtoms are non-specific utheritis and dryness on penis head and epidiymitis which burns in left testical.. i have done every other possible test going regarding any genital issues... i have tested positive for uti 6 weeks ago

The DRE is probably what would every urologist will do first. It’s simple, quick and painless. The thought of it is worse the actual procedure.
I suggest you go to a GP that specialises in men’s health.

You should find a urologist. When you tested positive for UTI, did you take a course of antibiotic ? If not you should get a doctor to prescribe it. A doctor might want to test your urine again since it is a simple test.
I had prostatitis, infection/inflammation, of the prostate when I was 22. A urologist checked my urine and also semen for bacteria, to diagnose it. He prescribed an antibiotic. I saw him weekly for 4 weeks, and he massaged my prostate by DRE (digital rectal exam) to get some semen discharge on a microscope slide. If you have prostatitis, it will feel painful when he presses on the prostate. It cleared up after 4 weeks.
