Possible Symptoms of Anxiety

So a little over a week ago I had my first ever panic attack. I've never had a diagnosed history of any kind of panic disorder before but in hindsight of my mental state over the months leading up, I shouldn't have been surprised. Symptoms included racing heart, dizziness, nausea and, of course, a sense of doom. I was certain I was having a heart attack until my partner calmed me down.

It passed, but about three days ago I started feeling dizzy all of a sudden - like the first panic attack, there wasn't anything very stressful happening when it happened - no exposure to phobias, no emergencies, etc. I immediately assumed I was having another attack anyway and went to lie down. But after about a half hour, I noticed a lot of my symptoms hadn't gone away. I was calm, but my heart rate was still up, I felt dizzy, nauseous and weak. Three days later and I still feel all these symptoms. I went to the doctor and had an ecg which came out normal. She thinks the symptoms are panic related but she's ruling out other possibilities in the meantime (I'm currently on pills for vertigo to correct the dizziness which has helped a lot).

This feels all panic related to me, but I've never heard the symptoms of anxiety/anxiety attacks lasting more than an hour. And it's also strange that the pills for vertigo seem to be correcting it. I'm wondering if anyone has some insight or has experienced something similar, or if this isn't anxiety related at all.

Thanks and all the best.

Should also mention I've had slight chest pains on and off and slight discomfort breathing. Nothing severe.

I was never diagnosed with anxiety or panic disorder until I had my first panic attack saw a therapist and learned I had generalized anxiety and OCD which together after twenty two years led to my first attack

I would say see a therapist if all your health is good

I've had those symptoms and they can last for a while if the body is still anxious

But I would have your self checked out fully then see a therapist who can Bettet advise you about these symptoms but anxiety can cause those symptoms
