For approximately 3 months I have had redness of the glans and foreskin. The area has been tender and extra sensitive. The skin texture has changed and looks sometimes dry and slightly cracked (not deep just lines shrivelled). Occasional festival pain. Constant dull pain from within halfway down the shaft. Tender when squeezed. Negative uti dip test, but prescribed antibiotics anyway due to symptoms. That cleared the burning urine, and slight relief for the constant urge to urinate. Currently awaiting sti tests, but in the mean time have taken anothe course of amoxicillin 500mg, and fluconazole 150mg in case of thrush, or a general infection. Still no change. What could it be? What do I do if sti results are negative? And would amoxicillin and Nitrofurantoin not have fixed the problem is it’s an infection? I’m at a loss here nitrofurantoin was prescribed after negative uti test . amoxicillin and fluconzole where self prescribed and bought online
i am having same issue except female! all uti and std tests negative but have constant burning urination. went to a urologist and he couldnt find any structural issues. no antibiotics have helped. beginning to think its a fungal infection of some sort- theyre harder to diagnose
