Does anyone know how long the soreness last after ablation it’s been two days and my groin feels like I got punched multiple times. I also keep feeling palpitations? Doc said it’s not palpitations because my heart rate isn’t going to fast or slow. My heart feels funny I feel it beating in my throat but again it’s not fast or slow and doc said nothing is coming up on the tele monitor. Wondering if anyone else had this and when did there’s pass it is more of an uncomfortable feeling. ( I did tell my doctor about my symptoms I just want to hear from patients)

My Ablation took about 10 days for the groin to ease and bruising to start clearing. It can take several weeks, months for the healing to take place within the heart.
You may still suffer from your existing symptoms for a period but hopefully if successful, they will ease over 4-8 weeks.
The Ablation didn't work for me, it couldn't stop the ectopic beats due to the location within the heart where they are coming from. I'm now on a cocktail of tablets that seam to be working, touch wood.

I am sorry to hear that’s yours was not a success I have heard that it can take a couple times. I had a couple episodes after the ablation of going into junctional rhythm did you do this as well? but other than that they said the telemonitor said I was in NSR staying about 80 BPM. I am not on any medications. But I feel my heart doing something I have never felt before it’s a weird feeling that I can not explain. Maybe it’s how a normal heart beat feels?
One of my cardiologists liked to say the feeling I got of my breath being snatched away was nothing to do with my heart which was now perfect following an ablation for Ventricular Tachycardia.
I take anything NHS professionals say with a pinch of salt now and liken them to dodgy car mechanics who are more interested in the money than fixing you and your car.
Unfortunately for said cardiologist I had marked each feeling of my breath being snatched away on my implanted Reveal Linq which showed a huge Ventricular Ectopic every time it happened, he didn't even give me an apology.
Its 11 months now since my ablation, cardiologists are happy that my VT hasn't returned so I am not about to die, but I have no quality of life now and the palpitations are a pretty permanent fixture. Click the picture below to see what my palpitations typically look like now.
So I have been walking around a lot today and all the sudden I’m in so much pain in my groin and down my leg feels numb it’s hard to put weight on it. The pain is so bad I feel sick. They didn’t send me with pain meds since I was fine in the hospital without them. I’m taking Tylenol and ibuprofen. Did this happen to anyone else?
