Hi- I am 48 years old and 6 years ago I had a rectocele and cyctocele repair with a bladder sling. Ever since the surgery, my vaginal walls are still like presurgery. I was under the impression that they would return to the firmer, more "rough" tissue that was their previously. I went to the surgeon again yesterday and he said I have a a rectocele and cystocele again. I am just not sure it got repaired the first time correctly. Am I crazy? My husband is to kind to say anything, but there is no way this is "likeable" for him. Any feedback is appreciated.
The stitches I can feel inside are vert rough and lumpy and I just want it back to normal. Will it ever smooth out again?
I bet they will. Scar tissue softens with time. I have the feeling of soft balloons (have since surgery) and would like some "structure" back. I
Do you mean like a prolapse again? I think men have it easy don't you . I hope you get some joy from the doctors? Just be nice to feel normal again wouldn't it.
Yeah, like the prolapse's weren't fixed. I just think things should feel firm. Not squishy! And yes it would be nice to feel normal again.
Try not to worry too much. I hope you get sorted soon.X
I hope your surgeon is going to put it right.
I am 70 and amongst other things, had the same thing repaired when I was in my 40's. It was done whilst I lived in Australia, and I've never had a problem since.
I was able to go back to the gym and play tennis again. I have serious doubts about the quality of the surgery availble on NHS.
If your sugeon wont do it. Go to one that will.
