I have a simple thin walled cyst on my ovary which is causing some pain. I am 52 years old and do not produce eggs due to hypopituitarism, so am very worried. Currently waiting tests, doctor is treating as urgent as I am so stressed and blood pressure is raised. Spent hours on internet researching but am confused. Anyone else with similar problems?
They think i also have a cyst anyway found lesions in right hand corner can't make up their minds at the mo in a lot of pain but did CA125 test defo not C so don't worry i have been post menopausal 4 12 years now. Try not to worry as most are benign.

I had to have a ct scan last monday to find the cause of passing blood in urine. I got the results telling me that they had found stones in my right kidney but they had also noted an ovarian cyst and my urologist has referred me to a gynaecologist. I also have severe crohn's disease so the pain that i have been getting i have put down to the crohn's. The only way i can describe it is for instance when i need to open my bowels it feels like my insides are being twisted to the point where i have blacked out with the pain. My stomach is very blown up and yet it used to be relatively flat, but even in the mornings it is blown and hard. I had a hysterectomy 16 years ago and i have been on HRT now for about 8 years, so i didnt think i would be releasing eggs now for them to turn into cysts. I am really worried that this could be serious and as i have thought it was the crohn's playing up i never thought to mention it to my doctor. I am so scared can anyone advise? I would be so grateful for any help on this as i am going out of my mind with worry!!!

Probably nothing to worry about have you had a CA 125 test if not ask for one insist and tell them why its just a simple blood why GP can do it , if you have Crohns you could also have IBS this will cause symptoms as well you probably know this. I have been menopausal for 12 years now developed severe pain, constipation and bloating tested for everything including Crohns told me IBS and i was stressed no not till this started anyway CA 125 came back negative but found scarring/lesions in right hand side now going to do Laparoscopy (sp) sterilised 30 years ago think it may have come from that and broken right pelvis 17 years ago all i can say is its taken a b****y long time to show up been suffering 6 years now, was told if it was the big C would be dead by now no comfort to me, I truly believe they are IDIOTS.
