So I'm a 26 year old male. I have been suffering from acid reflux/ heartburn for months now I never knew what it was. Chest discomfort/burning. Post nasal drip. As well always clearing my throat mucas. I can feel the thick mucas in my throat. My nose is congestded etc... So I went to an ENT and I had a brain MRI due to tinitius came back normal. Sept I have inflation in my sinus track the ethmoid sinus. So I take it that is why i have pnd for.. so this have been going for awhile now... I feel I have difficulty swillowing solid food.. it seem that it goes really slow then passes a point and it's ok. After ward not stuck or anything.. I'm not choking on my food. I'm not scared to eat no blood no weight lost... Now I told the ent about my symptoms. He put me on omprozole. 20mg.. I'm wondering if the existing mucas is makeing it harder for the food to go down... I know it's mucus cuz I feel it and I kind clear it but it comes right back I'm going to go to the Dr I'm thinking bout maybe getting endoscopy. And whatever other test I can do to to make sure it's not serious which I don't think k it is. Specially since I've been suffering from alot of stress and heartburn last couple years and didn't do anything bout it he also said my esphogoues could be inflamed from the acid reflux. Which very well could be. Any thought??
I would get the endoscopy. I hardly ever had heartburn but I would wake up with acid in my throat. I have GERD, a hiatal hernia, and Barrett's esophagus. I didn't know I had those things until the endoscopy. I'm now on a PPI.
Ya I'm going threw and eventually will work my way there.. I been to my ent so far and he put me on ppi as well I barley started it yesterday... I just learned that all the sympotoms I have are exactly lpr symptoms so I'm pretty sure I have lpr but eventually I know a Dr will tell me this. I'm still gunna get all the test for my sanity anyway..

You are in exactly the place I have been in. This is not my first bout with the same issues. The acid reflux is horrific in itself. I think you should to the ENDO and they will put you on a medication for the GERD. Im on 40mg of omprozole. It helps, but the post nasal drip has not. Did they say what comes first... Gerd or post nasal???
Now I have a new issue which is snoring and its getting worse. Im trying to stay positive and thank God we have a brain...... Just wanted some feed back and to let you know your not alone.
