Post Nissen Fundoplication - Is this normal?

I am 3 weeks post fundoplication and im looking for feedback on what symptoms others experienced post surgery. I have been regurgitating almost everything I eat and im conserned about doing damage to my wrap. I can usually keep down most strained soups but regurgitate pretty much everything else including water and all other liquids. Most of the time it comes up as easy as it went in but sometimes it comes back up more like vomitting. I do beleive that the food and liquids are getting stuck in my esophagus. I always know when its about to come back up because of intense pressure and some pain in my esophagus. Im going to try to just stick to soups as much as possible because im worried my regurgitating (6 to 10 times a day) could slow down or hinder my recovery. Unfortunately my doctor doesnt want to see me for 3 more months its a long story but i think its because he dropped me off the table during surgery and is afraid ill sue. Fortunately I dont beleive I suffered any long term negative affects from the incedent. I have not had any swallowing tests post surgery.

If you have had a fundo:

Should I be worried? Or should I just give it time and be nice to my esopgagus (stick to just soup)?

Oh dear that wasn't a good experience for you I haven't had this done and it's stories like yours that would put  me off if I was you I would contact this doctor and get an appointment It sounds like you say getting stuck have they done this to tight ?

I have not had a fundiplacation but from reading I would say what you are experiencing is not unusual.

Many times when patients are suffering the side effects you are the gastroenterologist stretches the esohopagus and that seems to work more often than not. Tell your surgeonsoffice you need an appointment NOW and don’t take no for an answer.

How could the surgeon drop you off the operating table? I’ve never heard of such a thing.

good luck
