i just have cataract surgery last june 9 2017, up to now the right side of my eye is still red and the lower lid. I put eye drops in my eye but accidentally i instill two drops of chlorsig instead of one only. Will it has an effect on my eye?

Was your eye reddened prior to the eye drop being prescribed?
I am just wondering whether or not you should give this surgeons pa a quick ring or perhaps the eye hospital where you were operated on to discuss the eye redness and to find out if this is to be expected or not or if it is a reaction to the eye drops.
I cannot see that putting one too many dropsin can harm youreyebut I would definitely let the dr know or the hospital as suggested above, sorry if I sound pushy.

I also had a lot of redness in my eye for quite a while after surgery. It turned out that I was allergic to the Durezol drops. The doctor who did the cararact surgery ignored my complaints. I went to another cataract doctor who diagnosed the allergy. Check with your doctor and try another one if you have to.

It might be worth asking for preservative free drops, Olivia. I know that in my case years ago, it was the preservatives that caused some of my problems
I am using chlorsig eyedrops (antibiotic) and prednedrin forte at the moment one drop each 4 times a day.
They have preservatives in them Olivia
When I Googled them, it looks as though you may be in Australia. Preservative free drops are called Minims, they make a range of drops. Ask your Ophthalmologist for them, you may find that just removing the preservative, will help your eyes a lot.
They can be known as 'single use' drops too.

You could ring his secretary & just tell her your concerns, you might be asked to come in earlier. I know that all I have to do is to ring the secretary.
We all worry about things we are not sure about.
I already saw an optometrist and he said the redness is normal but i have another problem i have floater in my right eye the one that's been operated. The optometrist said not much to worry but to have a peace of mind he advice me to see my surgeon.
If the optometrist says everything is ok, then you should be alright waiting till you see your consultant.

You could read this leaflet but don't start imagining all sorts of different scenarios!
Once someone spots a floater in his/her eye, the person tends to look for the floater all the time. You have just had cataract surgery, so that could be where the floater has come from.

I think that it is a good idea to contact tth eye specialist which is the surgeon.
If your eye is red then perhaps you could call your local eye hospital for advice . Mossst eye hospitals have an advice/helpline.
