post OP consultaion date..

Had right chevron and left side bunsonecotomy 1st MT

and 2nd toe exterior tenotomy on October 10th. I have

now received my appointment date for a follow up on 24th October which is fine but I'm concerened that as the

wound has bled which checked with nurse and seems to be normal, can see this slightly through the bandage, that when the bandages are removed half of my skin is going

to come off with it and reopen the wound.

Has anyone had this happen? Was the dressings remove

successfully with foot intacked.

Stupid I know but so many whys, hows and what ifs over a pair of feet. There seems to be so much that I should

have asked but didn't. I'm sure that when I've seen my feet

again I like many will be more reassured.

My feet bled quite extensively under the bandage -I assumed that they would have to soak the bandage to remove it easily but the blood had just dried on the bandage and did not affect my skn at all. I am sure it will be fine --all the best.

Thank you Liz

Did you move much during the first few weeks. I'm

trying to rest as much as possible but find it difficult

knowing there are chores that need doing and keep

toing and throwing.

I spent most of the day with feet up but also moved around a bit --probably no more than 5-10 minutes  out of each hour. I didn't try to do chores.  I'm lucky though as we are both retired so my husband has taken ove such things for now..
