Good Afternoon,
Thank you to everyone who responded to my post in regards to my still limping from my surgery.
I do appreciate your comments as it has helped me to know that it will just take a little more time to get those muscles strengthened .
I am looking forward to the day when I don’t limp anymore. Have three more OP PT sessions and will keep on doing my exercises and walking every day.
Regards,
Sue
there are many days when I felt the same way. its really just takes time that gets the muscles and legs back in working order. walking was very helpful in my experience. one day at a time and soon youll be back to walking better and totally forgetting about the surgery. wait for it… it will surprise you when it happens..I know after both hips done i still forget about the surgeries and living with a much better quality of life. best of luck to you and healing blessing sent your way.
hugs HOPE
you need to almost mentally force your self not to limp keep walking and exercise you will get there
Exercise really does work - when I started at my gym, I could only manage 50 rpm on the bike, today I was easily keeping up 70 rpm … the small improvements just sneak up on you when you’re not looking. I am 4 months post revision now.
The day will come when you suddenly realise the limp has gone … and you’ll smile.
