I had surgery on 7/18/17 torn peroneal tendon and what was thought to be torn ligaments. Surgery ended up being recinstructing my 2 missing ligaments and repairs to the third and tendon. My calf is killing me is this normal I'm a week post op and the top of my foot is swollen not to mention the pain really kicks in at night. I keep it elevated but wow! When should I feel relief!!!

This is a great forum . I have gotten a lot of great advice and I don't feel so alone . I am scheduled for ankle surgery 7-27 . I can't help with your question but someone will . They told me that I came to the right place. You have come to the right place for support.

Thank you I hope someone does because the pain at night and early morning is killing me!!

Place a couple of bottles of water in freezer after they are frozen place behind your knee.

Thank you I've been doing that it seems like it's stiffening up, and the half cast seems to irritate it. I'm going back to the doctor tomorrow the swelling on top of my foot is starting to subside but this pain around the ankle and calf is a mess!
