They found tumour in my bladder a few weeks back.
A 4 days ago, I had this tumour removed.
When I got home there was lots of pain and burning when trying to urinate as I would have expected.
Within a day or so, I felt that it was getting slightly better.
However, as of last night it has got worse again, along with a new symptom which I am really finding uncomfortable:
It 'feels' as though there is urine stuck in my urethra/penis all of the time which is extremely uncomftable. It gives me sharp pains when I sit in certain positions or if I move my penis.
I also got a spontanious erection for a short while earlier which gave off the same pain although even more extreme!
Is it likely a slightly delayed reaction from the surgery? infection? injury? Something else?
I'd love to hear from anyone who knows what I mean and who can help.
thanks
hi l obviously dont know for sure what the problem is, but sounds like it could be infection, inflammation, post op makes you more vunerable to both, you need to take a urine sample into docs asap, to get it checked for infection, or rule it out if not.
Good luck
If they did not give you an out of hours number to call in emergency phone the ward you were in. The staff there will be able to advise you. Or if you are in the UK dial 111 and they can get a doctor to phone you back.
I'm hoping it's an infection
i've been through so much recently with cystoscopy's and this surgery that all hurt me so very much, that I can't have anyone put anything inside me anymore, especially whilst i'm already extremely sensitive in the area at the moment.
If they say there's no infection, I imagine they'd want to stick a catheter up me or another cystoscope, and I can't go through anything like that again just yet.
