Post-vaccine anxiety and burning sensation 😖

Hi all,

I had my vaccine just over a week ago now and ever since I have had sporadic tingling and a HORRENDOUS burning sensation in my back.

Of course, I turned to Dr Google who told me the vaccine had given me MS, permanent nerve damage, Guillian Barre Syndrome- you name it.

I have spoken to 111 three times and have been told I’m fine and 3 doctors. Why don’t I believe them?!

I spoke to the most recent doctor yesterday and he said all I was experiencing was anxiety as it is probably messing with my blood levels and causing these sensations. I would honestly believe him if I hadn’t had this vaccination. Honestly, all of my family have had it, millions of people too and I seem to think I have drawn the short straw and I’m now screwed for life with some horrible condition.

Has anyone felt similar or can just reassure/cheer me up a little bit? I’ve never had a burning (sunburn like) sensation with my anxiety and it is increasingly painful now.

which vaccine did you get?do you have the burning sensation or any of the following in other parts of your body?
cold sensations or numbness, pain or a pricking feeling , any weakness ?

Hi Jan,

it has been two weeks since i had the astrazeneca jab
No numbness or weakness. I did have little pin prickling feelings but they have since subsided. I just have a burning feeling in my back now that comes and goes. I’ve been fine all day and it has come back on again only now. Its a major pain and I cannot shake the idea that I’m experiencing Guillian Barre Syndrome!

there are a small percentage of people who have allergic reactions to the vaccine. where are you actually examined or was it over the phone?I would suggest getting another opinion from another doctor. have you ever had a reaction to any vaccines in the past?
