Hello all.
I had cataract surgery in January 2018 with the Symfony lenses. The surgery went great and my vision was fantastic. Over the past year my right eye vision has degraded and I was told I have posterior capsule opacification which occurs in about 40% of patients. I am seeing my eye surgeon next week for a preop for laser treatment.
Has anyone had this treatment? Laser to clear a section of the opacification. I have read that this is a permanent fix and will return great post cataract surgery vision. I may need a lasik type ‘touch up’ for perfect correction. I guess the left eye so far is ok.
I guessed wrong. I had a sudden flashing vision sensation in my left eye last month about a week after a friend had a Retinal Detachment, so I was think Oh Oh. It turned out to be a vitreous detachment and no treatment was needed. But now I have an odd floater and was told that’s a bubble. I am hoping that resolves completely. Anyone with this great old age issue? Apparently common as the vitreous capsule shrinks.>> “Shrinkage Jerry, its Shrinkage.”
