Contrary to popular belief: doctors, the medical society, and menopausal books declare, that once our period ends, the symptoms subside and get better! I am here to tell you my dear, that is sooo... VERY far from the truth for COUNTLESS women! When my period ended, my symptoms got WORSE! SMH!! Take GREAT care of you, you are first in the lunch line, you matter!! Do the things that make you happy and sane! Drink PLENTY of room temperature water, and don't let people get under your skin!! Menopause doesn't go away quietly! I've stated on this site NUMEROUS times: It is a friggin TSUNAMI!! Be well, my postmenopausal sistah...

Hi Kim. You sound like me. I am 64 and post menopausal. I've been going through the exact same thing as you. It started last June 2021. A bunch of things happened that I suppose made me anxious. That being said, I do not think I have anxiety like all the specialists are saying. Have you had anyone tell you you have anxiety? I've brought up the hormonal thing and post menopause and none of the docs want to go down that road. I've lost a lot of weight, have insomnia, dizzy as a bat all day, nausea, having issues breathing through my nose (theres nothing in my nose to clog it up), jittery where my hands shake, legs and arms are weak, the list goes on. I know I'm not helping you but just to let you know you are not alone. I recently gave in and am now on anti depressants. I am on day 3 and I tell you the side effects are so intense. I thought I was dizzy before! Ha! I can't even drive my car now. They say to give it a couple of weeks. I don't know about that! Anyhow, if you ask your doctor to check your hormones with a blood test that would help to see where you are at. Mine won't do it. I may go private and pay to get it done. Not sure what it will get me but it'll show me my levels. Good luck and try not to go down the meds rabbit hole.

hi, hun Thank you for responding I am really tired of this shyt. I also have stomach issues this is so much on the both us, it's this lady I was talking to she told me menopause bring on anxiety. she said she believes I have health anxiety. I went the er two days ago the Dr said the same thing menopause brings on alot of symptoms even anxiety.

hi again. i forgot to mention the gas feeling you are having on the left side could be diverticulosis.

hi, hun I See a GI doctor on the 17 in the mean time what do I do about it.

If you look it up you can see if it describes what you are feeling. Im not a dr. so don't want to steer you in the wrong direction. I have diverticulosis. When this is inflamed it's called diverticulitis. I only mentioned it because I have it. It affects the left side. Have to watch out what you eat so it/they don't become inflamed.

i have all of those in peri xx

hi, hun hear you say you ha e all those symptoms in perimenopause. do anxiety cause shortness of the breath. this postmenopausal is hell what are you in now.

im in peri lovely, i think stomach problems and reflux and allergies cause my shortness of breath xx

hi. hun How long you been without a period ? Some of the symptoms I am experiencing now I have experience in my perimenopause. Dr told Some of the symptoms you experience in the beginning you might experience in late menopause.

Hello Ladies, I have been on this crazy menopause ride since 2009. I have not had a period in 10 years. I personally can say post menopause is as bad for me as the symptoms were in the beginning and I have had every symptom on the list and some that are not on the list, I have just learned to cope as this is my new normal. I always thought once my periods stopped things would improve, not the case for me. I had an older lady tell me that you are forever post menopause, it does not go away because your hormones are never going to go back the way they were when you were younger. This has been some journey and one that is not over yet. GOD Bless

Hey Kim...

Today, (02-01-22) I feel pretty good and normal; yet, two weeks ago I was in postmenopausal hell, to say the least! My symptoms were extreme, especially the MENTAL ones! Regarding anxiety, I would suggest a high-potency Vitamin B. Yes, MENTALpause and hormonal imbalance wreak havoc on us womenfolk, they are synonymous; and cause soooo.. much pain and distress! I don't care what anyone says, MENOPAUSE IS DEBILATATING!! The government needs to classify it as a DISABILITY, and give ALL women who are DEEP in the throes of perimenopause, menopause, and post menopause a monthly check! Whatever you do Kim, please stay hydrated; it is vitally important to do so, throughout this rollercoaster ride!!

Hey Kim...

Regarding menopause, shortness of breath is one of the many countless symptoms of this tsunami! It is scary and many times, relentless! I have it frequently; it has become a part of my life, unfortunately.

hi, hun

So you say take a vitamin B.
