So why am i constantly feeling sick and bloated and just like im dying!!! I really thought i would be starting to feel better by now Im slowly giving up hope!!! my gastro says to take lansaprazole but due to my anxiety im even scared to do that All recent bloods are normal to but i feel like i have a golf ball sitting in the top of my stomach Ct scan says otherwise Help ladies what do i do so tired x
This is just a thought maybe it is your thyroid causing the problems now because the thyroid can cause menopause like symptoms that are identical and it can be hard to tell the difference between the two. Even if the doctors tell you the numbers are ok and within range on the thyroid test if they are slightly on the low end or high end of the scale it can still effect you negatively. Contrast dye can affect your thyroid negatively. I am not a doctor I am only giving you a suggestion to test your thyroid levels. Ask the doctor to do a complete thyroid panel because T3 affects the heart rate.
im sorry u r going thru thAT ALTHOIGH I DONT HAVE THAT I DO FEEL LIKE IM DYING. i keep having fainting spells and lifgtheaded all thr time i hope u feel better but i know thats a stretch
I am still in perimenopause but i only get like 2 periods a year and im only almost 42 years old! Its been 110 days since my last period but i know exactly what you are talking about!! i feel sick like that nearly every day and is so hard to eat let alone function! I also feel like my actual stomach (not lower belly) is full of air or like i just ate a huge meal constantly, even if my stomach is completely empty. Nobody understands, my drs dont get it and i did have my thyroid tested and everything was fine just like you. I was diagnosed with acid reflux 20 years ago but since then i had a pregnancy without feeling like this! I didnt get this sick until the perimenopause symptoms started and ive been sick now for 6 years. I want it to end!! I feel like i just cant take it anymore...the nausea, the bloat, loss of appetite is killing me. At least my hot flashes have finally seemed to calm down, but my stomach still remains a mess. :(
Hello Michelle i just got a upper endoscopy in October 18 due my stomach hurts since May 8 and i also have gerd and gastritis. so scare of my life they found nothing serious but chronic gastritis so i decided to take zoloft which made my stomach hurts but is better but i cant work out it hurts right between the upper abd. I believed ansiety is causing my stomach issues . this site brings me confort because im not alone in this journey

hi michele - well, i dont know if this is going to make you feel bad or worse, but i started peri @52 with the typical symptoms ....insomnia, night sweats, flooding etc, lost period @ 55, i am now62, & the last 3 years have been the worst. its been 10 years for me & i dont see the end of the tunnel - i had all the digestion issues, breathing issues & anxiety - now i am on to stiff achy muscles. the one thing i did for my digestion that seems to help, is i started taking apple cider vinegar capsules daily, taking a good probiotic & when tummy was really off, took an activated charcoal tablet - do not start taking acid reducers RX or other the counter...not good for you - my anxiety seems less, but now when i get an episode, i dont try to fight it, just go with it & tell myself its just adrenaline flowing thru my body & either drink cold water, get an ice cube or cod wash cloth - the cold seems to distract me - the breathing thing comes & goes - i try to just get distracted, but i do have my inhalater handy if i need it - now if i could just find something to stop my muscle aches - praying this will be over soon -
I have a prescription for zoloft i was thinking of taking it too! Im scared tho that i will suffer with the side effects but it eont help so i havent tried taking it yet

I know this post is 2 years old but i cpuld have written this myself. i am 2 yrs post too and this is the first symptom of peri that kicked me hard..now its back. How are you now? I hope you re doing better!
@ Ella same here. Though my drs continue to say its not my thyroid is normal because its in range. But i dont feel like it is and I sent my bloodwork to a hormone specialist. He said my thyroid are extremely low regardless of the range.
Debra16694 what probiotics are you taking?
HI Mary i havent had any messages from this site in a long time. I would like to say i feel better but no. Dizziness has been really bad for me past 18 months. I have just had a brain scan waiting for results. I dont know if i will ever feel normal again to be honest! Message me anytime x
Hi guys I know this post is quite dated but wanted to say how much I relate to the frustration and desperation. I am post menopausal and was doing okay until I had a hystetectomy 2.5 years ago. My hormones have have all but got up and left. I'm now dealing with all kinds of symptoms which is making me anxious and depressed. I suspect my thyroid is causing problems... TSH is 3.8 so thats not an optimal reading for me. Still having investigations for a myriad of symptoms and currently my anxiety is through the roof. Bless you all.
michelle, i am losing hope as well , i have been on hrt for 18 months (last resort)and i am still not good. i am so scared to take any new med in case it makes me worse but you may have to take the plunge. im sorry i cant offer any insight, my doctors are miffed as well. i feel like we are on our own. thank goodness for this site.i do hope things get better for you please post if they do, it will give the rest of us some hope.
