Now I know we are all different etc etc, just wanted to ask what time scale did you have, between your Pre-Op and day of surgery. . .

My pre op is the 3rd of October and surgery is 22nd of October x
I had my preop on 29th aug consultant who i saw in March said end of the summer for my op his Secretary said not side of this year due to length of surgeons list 🤔🤔 if it goes past 18 weeks will have to have another preop 🙄
Mine was supposed to be 2 weeks before but then my op was cancelled at the last minute so it ended up being 8 weeks. Good luck

Usually you have to have one. Six days before op at most although my op got cancelled 5 times so it was. Back and forth for 6 months
I had my pre op on 17th August.
I wasn't given a date for op at the time but received a phone call on 5th September
with a date of 24th September.

Two days between Pre-Op and Operation day for me !

I have my pre op on 18th September and my operation is the 27th September as long as results from swabs are ok
I had to wait eight weeks from pre-op to actual op. I was told if I had to wait longer than 12 weeks I would need another pre-op.
Speed is the best way - no time to think about what is going to happen.
8 days from pre op to hip op
It can also depend on country where you are having surgery.

I had mine done in Barnsley good luck pre op is a quick half hour at most it's operation day when you have to be up early
My pre-op took most of the day. We had a talk about the operation, ECG, blood test, urine test, MRSA check, questionnaire, plus other odds and sods. I also met with the anaesthetist. It was worth while though. They even tried to sell us things like grabbers, Amazon are much better and cheaper.
Hi! Well, I originally went to see the consultant here in north wales privatelly for £200 , and was told I would be put on the list for a THR which would probably take 12-18months for me to be called. This was Nov2016,
Then at Xmas 2017!!!!!......I had a call from my local hospital asking me if I would be willing to go elsewhere for the op as the list was getting longer and longer at my local hospital. I said yes and then had a letter from The Leighton Hospital in Crewe (2hrs away) to go for another consultation in January 2018.
Had that done on the 15th Jan an was told i would have a pre-op in Feb and hopefully the op at the end of March, possibly beginning of April. Sadly, was not calld for the op and I rang and rang to see what was happening! Eventually, was told it would probably br June.
Then had a letter informing me I had another pre-op scheduled for July 19th. Eventually had my op on the 20th Aug. All has gone well, am so glad I went to The Leighton for the op. They surgeon Mr Steven Duckett was absolutely brilliant and even visited me the next day on his day off! So there we have it, I waited 22months in all and now it's all over I am so happy! It's early days but I have no regrets at all.

Had a pre-op back in Feb, in preparation for my op in March or beg April.... didn't get called, so phoned hospital and was told there was a backlog and it wouldn't happen until June most likely.
June came and went. Called again and was given a new
Pre-op date for 19th July, for an op on the 20th Aug.
All went well, now four weeks
Post-op and am doing well so far!
