My daughter is 3 yrs old she has croup, bronchitis and ear infection her Dr put her on prednisone 15mg and I'm also on it do to having bronchitis but heart rate at rest is 128-148 is that normal btw first time mom
Pred often does raise the pulse - you're only on it for a short time for the chest infection so once you stop the pred it will settle down again. But if you are worried, ask your doctor. Always happens at the weekend doesn't it!!
Prednisone will increase the heart rate, its normal.
