Has anyone with a Hernia (down low in my stomach) and takeing Preds had any problems
What sort of hernia do you mean? Umbilical?
Hi there, i dont know the medical term but its lower down than an umbilical got left with it when i had colon cancer, could hardly complain could i. I shall be stayin on my dosage for a bit longer. I took my pills at 5am thi morning and not so stiff thank goodness.

I don't see why pred should cause problems that far down if you are on ordinary white non-coated pred. Enteric coated pred passes through the stomach and is absorbed further down but I'm not sure how far down the gut. The pred/hernia problem is with hiatus hernia where a bit of the stomach herniates through a weak spot in the diaphragm and can cause regurgitation of stomach contents. Yours won't cause that!
I've had a hiatus hernia for many years and do have reflux problems sometimes (usually when I've been unwise). I wasn't able to take the plain white pred tabs, I have the enteric coated ones and don't have any problems with those.
